IKEA to open third Valley location near former mall in north Phoenix
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Valley residents and IKEA lovers rejoice! A smaller version of the massive furniture store is coming soon to north Phoenix, marking the third IKEA location in Arizona.
On Wednesday, company officials announced that the third IKEA store will be located near Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road, across from the redevelopment of the former Paradise Valley Mall. While the new store won’t be a massive showroom like in Tempe, it will still boast 75,000 square feet and primarily consist of home furnishing accessories and about 75 small furniture items.
In contrast, Ikea’s warehouse in Tempe is approximately 342,000 square feet.
If north Phoenix customers need bigger furniture items, such as sofas and beds, they can order online and pick up in-store for free or pay for home delivery.
Guests will be able to browse through multiple fully furnished showrooms. Customers looking for a great bargain can also shop the as-is department, which will offer gently used products, discontinued items, and affordable home furnishings.
In addition, there will be IKEA food favorites! The Phoenix location will feature the company’s new Swedish Deli concept, offering hot and cold food to enjoy while shopping in-store or to take home for later.
The announcement was made Wednesday during the grand opening of IKEA Scottsdale, which boasts a new “plan and order” concept that allows customers to plan and order their favorite IKEA items, including a ship-to-store pickup option.
IKEA Phoenix is slated to open in early 2026.
