Phoenix nonprofit hosting annual Mother’s Day donation drive

PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Mother’s Day is this Sunday, so it’s Something Good when a Valley nonprofit is making sure all mothers feel pampered!
NourishPHX, a local food and clothing bank, is hosting its annual Mother’s Day donation drive. Items donated to mothers in need will be packaged inside of a purse so when moms receive the purse, they can open it up to find even more goodies!
The nonprofit is collecting hygiene items, hair products, accessories, jewelry, perfume, sunglasses, nail polish and makeup to give to mothers across the Valley.
“It’s the time to make everybody feel special and have some self care, especially in these times. People are struggling. So we just want to make everybody feel a little bit special this week,” said Beth Fiorenza with NourishPHX.
Fiorenza says the nonprofit is still in need of purses and hygiene items. Anyone who would like to make a donation can drop off items at the nonprofit office, located at 501 S 9th Avenue in Phoenix.
The Mother’s Day event will be hosted at the nonprofit on Friday from 9-11 a.m. Mothers will be able to receive free haircuts and nail services.
